Pool Equipment and Installation Warranty
Every pool and system we provide is supported by clear warranty coverage. This applies to both fully installed pools and DIY options, so you know exactly what’s protected.
What’s Included in Your Warranty
Your pool package comes with three key areas of coverage:
1. Fibreglass Pool Shell Warranty
The pool shell is covered by a structural warranty provided by the manufacturer and compliant with Australian Standards, protecting against defects that affect performance over time.
- Structural integrity of the shell
- Manufacturing defects
- Osmosis-related issues
- Gelcoat surface protection
2. Equipment Warranty
All supplied equipment is covered by manufacturer warranties. Each item comes with its own warranty period, which is confirmed at the time of purchase.
- Lighting systems
- Pumps and filters
- Mineral or saltwater chlorinators
- Controllers and automation
- Heat pumps
3. Installation & Workmanship Warranty
Pools installed by Plunge Pools Newcastle are covered by a workmanship warranty for all installation-related work. This ensures the system is installed properly and meets required standards.
- Pool placement and levelling
- Plumbing connections
- Equipment setup
- Structural installation work
- Compliance with relevant standards and regulations
Warranty Maintenance Requirements
To keep your warranty in place, you must:
- Follow manufacturer installation guidelines using a licensed installer
- Maintain correct water balance
- Use approved components and consumables only
- Schedule routine servicing and inspections
- Ensure all electrical work is done by a licensed electrician
Installation Warranty Conditions
The following conditions apply to installation-related coverage:
- Do not modify the pool or surrounding works without approval
- Report any issues promptly once notice.
- Operate and maintain the pool as instructed at handover
- Ensure external works (landscaping, concreting, decking, fencing) do not impact the pool structure or plumbing
How to Submit a Warranty Claim
Start by Contacting Us
Reach out first so we can determine whether the issue relates to installation, equipment, plumbing, or routine maintenance.
Share Photos or Videos
Provide clear photos or short videos of the issue. This helps speed up the assessment and ensures the right next steps are recommended.
Assessment Process
We’ll review your claim and direct it to the appropriate channel:
- Equipment issues: lodged with Reece Customer Care and handled under their process
- Fibreglass or precast pool shell: assessed to confirm if the issue relates to the shell or installation, then coordinated with the manufacturer if required
- Installation-related issues: reviewed directly by our team under the workmanship warranty
Resolution
Once approved, we arrange the required repairs, replacement parts, or corrective work in line with the warranty terms.
What’s Not Covered by Warranty
The following situations are not included under warranty coverage:
- Damage resulting from unbalanced water chemistry
- Electrical work not carried out by a licensed professional
- Incorrect installation, including DIY setups
- Events outside normal control (e.g. extreme weather or natural causes)
- Damage caused by landscaping or third-party contractors
- General wear and tear beyond standard warranty limits
- Modifications or works completed by third parties after installation
- Ground movement or site conditions beyond the original assessment
- Damage from later excavation, landscaping, or construction works
