Project Snapshot

Homeowners Goal

The homeowners wanted a pool that their kids could enjoy comfortably while still fitting within their small backyard space . They were looking for a practical family pool solution that would provide enough room for swimming and relaxing without making the backyard feel overcrowded. Because of their busy lifestyle, they also wanted a low-maintenance pool that would be easy to manage long-term without requiring too much ongoing upkeep. A faster installation timeline was another important factor, as they wanted to minimise disruption to both their daily routine and neighbouring properties during construction.

The Challenge

The property had narrow access and limited backyard space, making it difficult to install a traditional pool without overwhelming the outdoor area or reducing too much usable space for the family. The homeowners still wanted a pool large enough for their kids to swim and enjoy comfortably, while keeping the backyard practical and functional for everyday use.

Because the property was located close to neighbouring homes, the homeowners also wanted to avoid a long and disruptive construction process. They were looking for a pool solution that could be installed efficiently with minimal disruption to surrounding properties, while still delivering a clean and modern backyard result suited for family living.

Our Solution

Installation Process

1. Site Preparation & Excavation

Due to the property’s narrow access and limited backyard space, careful planning was completed before construction began. Smaller excavation equipment was used to safely excavate the area.

2. Base Preparation & Plumbing

After excavation, the pool base was carefully prepared and levelled to support the fibreglass shell. Plumbing, drainage, and filtration pipework were then installed to suit the pool design and site conditions.

3. Pool Shell Delivery & Installation

The 6.2m x 3m fibreglass pool shell was carefully delivered and positioned into place using tight-access installation methods. Once installed, the pool was levelled and secured to ensure proper alignment.

4. Finishing Works & Handover

Backfilling and final plumbing connections were completed, exposed aggregate surfaces, and fencing were prepared for finishing works. The completed pool was then cleaned, tested, and prepared for handover.

Final Result / Outcome

Functional Layout for Small Spaces

The completed 6.2m x 3m fibreglass pool transformed the compact backyard into a functional outdoor area while still preserving enough usable space for relaxation, entertaining, and everyday family use.

Faster & Efficient Installation

The fibreglass pool installation allowed the project to be completed faster with minimal disruption to neighbouring properties, helping the homeowners enjoy their new pool much sooner.

Modern & Easy-To-Maintain Finish

Frameless glass pool fencing, exposed aggregate surrounds, and the clean pool design created a modern outdoor space that feels open, safe, and easy to maintain year-round.

Client Review

We wanted a pool that would still fit comfortably in our small backyard while giving our kids enough space to swim and enjoy during weekends. The team helped us choose the right fibreglass pool for our property and made the whole installation process much smoother than we expected. We also love how the glass fencing keeps the backyard feeling open and modern without making the space feel closed in

Pool Project FAQs

Why was a fibreglass plunge pool chosen for this Gosford property?
The homeowners wanted a pool that would fit comfortably in their little back yard and still leave enough of room for their children to swim and have fun. A fibreglass plunge pool was the perfect balance between swim space, cheap maintenance and a quicker turn around time on installation.
Is a 6.2m x 3.0m fibreglass pool big enough for a family?
Yes. The 6.2m x 3.0m pool gave the homeowners’ children plenty of opportunity to swim, play and cool down during warmer months, while allowing for functional outdoor space around the pool area.
Can I put a pool on a property with narrow side access?
In many cases, yes. The project shows that with careful planning, specialist installation techniques and the correct equipment, a fibreglass pool can be effectively installed on premises with limited access.
Will a pool take up too much space in a small backyard?
Not necessarily. The pool size and shape was selected to maximise usable swimming space, whilst allowing for relaxing, entertaining and everyday family activities throughout the backyard.
How long does it take to install a fibreglass pool in Gosford?
This fibreglass plunge pool installation was finished in about 3 weeks. The quicker installation method helps to reduce inconvenience to homes and nearby properties.
Why did we choose a frameless glass fence for this project?
The frameless glass fencing keeps the backyard feeling open and large, while still providing the needed pool safety barrier. It also complemented the contemporary style of the pool and outside area.
Are fibreglass pools easier to maintain than concrete pools?
Yes, generally. Fibreglass pools have a smooth, non-porous surface which can make cleaning and ongoing maintenance easier than many classic concrete pools, making them a practical alternative for busy families.
Could you put in a similar pool in my backyard?
Although every site is different, similar fibreglass plunge pools are generally suitable for properties with limited space or access issues. A site visit can help determine the most appropriate pool size, layout and installation method for your property.
